Congratulations!  So you are thinking about making the plunge.  You are considering becoming a seller on Ebay.  It's an exciting idea, isn't it?

But how do you start?  How can an ordinary gal or guy like you make money on Ebay? Is it really as easy as you've heard?

Relax.  We will explore all that and a lot more right here.

Step one: you need a paypal account. 

paypal is a credit card processing company.  It's one of the oldest and most trusted on the internet.  In fact, Ebay liked paypal so much they bought the company about 10 years ago.

It's free and easy to get started with paypal. Just go to paypal.com click on PERSONAL and follow the instructions.

Oh, and you need to verify that account. 

Here's how:

To Verify your PayPal account, just link your bank account to your PayPal account or be approved for PayPal Smart Connect or the PayPal Plus MasterCard®.

We ask customers to take the extra step to Verify their accounts to help make PayPal even safer for everyone. When you’re Verified, it means that you’ve provided a little more information about yourself to help confirm your identity.

After you get Verified, we’ll lift your limits so you can send or withdraw more money.

Here’s how to Verify your account:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Get Verified on your Account Overview.
3. Select the verification method you want to use.
4. Enter your information, then click Continue.
5. Click Confirm, then click Submit.

For what it's worth I set up a seperate checking account that I use expressly for my internet activities and I don't keep much cash in that account.  PayPal is safe -- but scamers scam.
